BLACK DIVAS champions Black Maternal Health and birth workers through our Austin PBS Broadcast and initiatives. We address maternal health by harnessing the voice as an act of rehabilitation and restoration; combatting disparities caused by the silenced pleas of Black Mothers.
At the heart of Black Divas are Black mothers and maternal health workers whose lived experiences ground every production in authenticity, care, and purpose.
Participation in the arts itself also becomes an act of restoration. Through music and storytelling, Black mothers reclaim their voices, nurture emotional well-being and mental health. Black Divas affirms their stories, artistry, and leadership.
